God Says

So you’re trying to have a baby. Maybe you’ve been trying for a few months or maybe a few years. Maybe the doctors have told you that you might never get pregnant. Or maybe they don’t even know why you’re not getting pregnant. Maybe you’ve been through countless tests and medications and now just don’t know where to go from here. I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to believe eveything the doctor says. God has PROMISED you children. HE said you can have a baby and He can NOT break His promise.

Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants all around your table. -Psalm 128:3

I made the mistake of trusting in our own ways instead of trusting in HIM. And that cost us a lot – depressed days, sickness from medications, stressful tests, anger with each other and God. He is the creator of life. Who are we to mess with his creation?

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. -Jeremiah 1:5

After years of doing things “our way”, we finally gave it over to God. I wish we would have done that from the very beginning, but I’m grateful for everything we learned about ourselves, each other, and God through the process. I felt so much more at peace knowing that it would happen in His perfect timing. And because I had taken the focus completely off myself and started blessing others who had what I wanted, our first pregnancy actually took us by surprise! And it was a much sweeter moment than it would have been if we had gotten pregnant the first time.
